Simple.

This electronic medical record is online, on a server, or as they say "in the cloud."

What does this mean?

This means that you can access your records from any computer running the proper web browser (Google Chrome preferably) with an internet connection.

This means that if your practice burns down, you can still access all your files because they are stored in a state of the art server (a very fast computer with a very fast connection).

This also means that you don't need to be carrying around cumbersome files in your car because you are behind your charts. Admit it. I see it all the time in my colleagues BMWs.

This also means that your office personel can enter information at the same time.

This also means that you can finish your medical charts while vacationing in Madagascar (as long as you have an internet connection).

This also means that you do not need to do any annoying installation or have the latest equipment.

The ONLY program you need to have is Google Chrome, which is free for both PC/Windows or Mac/OS X.

In other words, if your old 486 PC runs Chrome and it has an internet connection, you're good to go.

The downside to this EHR?

It is not compatible with Internet Explorer. So sorry. But we are working on this.
